新老两代辅导员与一位当代大学生一同回访毕业生的一段旅程，带出四十年来发生在这位老辅导员和他学生身上一幕幕感人故事，通过表现四个不同年代的典型故事，折射出不同时代背景下辅导员老师的辛苦历程。
An older college instructor, a young one, and a college student pay visits to students who graduated long ago. Their journey brings out one touching story after another that has happened between the older instructor and the students. Four typical stories of different periods are highlighted to present how hard the instructor has worked and how committed he has been to his students all these years.
