In 2014, the Chinese PLA’s Guard of Honor recruited young women soldiers from various parts of the country. Among them, Huang Qianqian, an undergraduate, joined a squad with Zhang Xuewei the squad leader. However, it’s difficult for Huang to get used to the army life, which is totally different from her free college life. As a result, several conflicts broke out fiercely between Huang Qianqian and Zhang Xuewei. But as time goes by, with the help of Zhang, Huang began to understand what a soldier must be, and finally became a qualified honor guard.
