Deputy Director of Shanghai Municipal People’s Congress Interior Judicial Committee, Chairman of the Shanghai Cultural Development Foundation, Chen Dong said that Mr. Su Yantao, chairman of the China-US Film Festival, was very far-sighted. When the film industry was still climbing more than a decade ago, he had foreseen a film festival with potential growth. The Chinese American Film Festival deepened the friendship between the two countries, so that more American audiences can watch Chinese films and the Chinese filmmakers can face the world.

The 13th Chinese American Film Festival will be held between October 29th to November 30th, a month long of film related events, seminars and over 200 screenings will be held in Hollywood, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas, Las Vegas and all across America. Chinese American Film Festival Film and TV Gala will be held on October 29th, Chinese American Film Festival Summit co-organized by CAFF Organizing Committee, Producers Guild of America, and China Film Co-production Company, the Chinese American Television Summit organized by the CAFF Organizing Committee, TV series Division and International Division of SAPPRFT, and Producers Guild of America, and the Film and TV Market co-organized by China Film Co., the will all be held on October 30th, the Chinese American Film Festival Outstanding Participation in Film/TV Exhibition will be held on October 31, Chinese American Film Festival Opening Ceremony, Red carpet, and the “Golden Angel Award” Ceremony will be on November 1st. In the meanwhile, the Chinese American Film Festival Committee will co-organize the “Short Film” category with the China Film Promotion International. Chinese American Film Festival will also be hosting a series of professional seminars, at big studios and about twenty Universities, to build a broader platform for the co-production between Chinese and American filmmakers.

The grand kick off for the 13th Chinese American Film Festival will begin on November 1st.
